Dr. Eric L. Seiler was born in New York City in 1959. At the age of 6 his family moved from New York to the Bahamas where he grew up, receiving a British secondary school education. He then attended Boston University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in geography and environmental studies in 1981. While at Boston University, he captained the rugby team, and led the university on its first overseas tour of England.

After graduation he worked for a year as a research assistant, and then enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  Palmer College is the original chiropractic school, and is located at the birthplace of the profession.
